Community Grant Fund
The Clydescope Economic Development Corporation is a private/public organization that works in conjunction with the City of Clyde to stimulate growth and development of retail, commercial, industrial, education, agriculture, professional, financial and civic interests in the Clyde area.
A grant to help Clyde's business community was something that had been discussed for quite some time within the Clydescope Economic Development Corporation. In 2018 a committee was formed to work out the details of a grant to present to the entire board for their approval. The grant was officially named the Clyde Community Grant Fund. Our mission is to provide new or existing businesses the capital to grow and expand jobs and development in Clyde.
In January of 2019 Clydescope was able to start taking grant applications. Within a very short period of time we began receiving applications from local business owners. A total of 19 grants have been awarded with several more to be considered.
The grant is funded from the interest on an account that was set up from Clydescope funds, interest from a current loan, and the proceeds from the annual Clydescope Golf Outing. Clydescope would also be happy to accept donations from other businesses or private individuals. The grant may fund up to one half of the total project maxing out at $5,000.00.
The grant funds could be used for equipment, building or infrastructure improvements. Such things as contracted services, supplies for the project, and capital improvements. The grant could be awarded in part as to the need or benefit to the community, community services provided, jobs created, promotion of the community.
Our funds are currently limited; however, we certainly hope to be able to expand the grant in time. If you wish to donate to the CCGF, make checks payable to:
